What to Do If Microsoft Teams Chat Notifications Stop Arriving

If Microsoft Teams Chat notifications are configured under Service integration for a Calendar but notifications are not delivered when a booking is completed, changed, or canceled, disconnecting and reconnecting Microsoft Teams Chat may resolve the issue.

Reconnect Microsoft Teams Chat

  1. A team owner, admin, or Administrative Assistant logs in to TimeRex.

  2. Switch to the relevant space, then select Team Settings.

  3. Under Integrations, select Microsoft Teams Chat to open the Microsoft Teams Chat integration page.

  4. Select Disconnect Microsoft Teams Chat.

  5. After the button changes to Connect, select Connect.

Note: You do not need to reconfigure the Calendars that were already set to send Microsoft Teams Chat notifications.

For more information, see Microsoft Teams Chat integration.

Microsoft Teams Chat notifications may also stop arriving if the access token expires.

In that case, TimeRex sends an integration failure email with the subject “[Action Required] Unable to create a meeting due to a problem with the Microsoft Teams integration.”

The error email is sent once a week to the email address of the TimeRex account that connected Microsoft Teams Chat in Team Settings.

Use the link in the email to reconnect Microsoft Teams Chat. Notifications should be delivered correctly after the reconnection.

Note: Microsoft Teams Chat notifications are not delivered until the reconnection is complete.

Because Microsoft does not provide a setting that prevents the access token from expiring, you may need to reconnect TimeRex periodically.
