What to Do If a Microsoft Teams Meeting URL Is Not Generated

If you selected Microsoft Teams under Web meeting settings for a calendar but experience either of the following:

  • A Microsoft Teams meeting URL is not issued when a booking is completed.

  • The booking completion notification email does not include a Microsoft Teams meeting URL.

First, try saving the calendar again.

Open the edit page for the calendar, confirm that Microsoft Teams is selected under Web meeting settings, and then select Save.

If the issue persists, reconnecting Microsoft Teams may resolve it.

Important

  • Use Reconnect instead of Disconnect.

  • If you select Disconnect, the internal Web meeting settings are removed from the affected calendars.

    • After reconnecting, open the edit page for each calendar, confirm that Microsoft Teams is selected under Web meeting settings, and save the calendar again.

Reconnect Microsoft Teams

  1. Log in to TimeRex.

  2. Open Integrations in Account Settings.

  3. Select Microsoft Teams to open the Microsoft Teams Integration page.

  4. Select Reconnect.

A Microsoft Teams meeting URL may not be issued if the access token has expired.

In this case, TimeRex sends an email with the subject “Action required: Unable to create a meeting due to a Microsoft Teams integration issue” to notify you that the integration failed.

Note: This notification email is sent only once.

Check the date and time of the booking for which the Microsoft Teams meeting URL was not issued in the email. Then manually create a Microsoft Teams meeting URL and notify the guest.

Reconnect Microsoft Teams using the link in the email. Microsoft Teams meeting URLs will be issued correctly for future bookings after reconnection.

Note: Microsoft Teams meeting URLs will not be issued until the reconnection is complete.

Microsoft does not appear to provide a setting that prevents access tokens from expiring. You may therefore need to reconnect Microsoft Teams to TimeRex periodically.
