If a message such as “Unable to connect. Please contact support.” appears when you try to use Microsoft Teams Integration, one of the following may be the cause.
Cause 1: You Do Not Have a Microsoft Teams License
A paid Microsoft Teams license is required to use Microsoft Teams Integration. Free Microsoft Teams licenses are not supported.
Cause 2: You Do Not Have Permission to Connect Microsoft Teams
Depending on your Microsoft Teams environment, security settings or other restrictions may prevent the connection.
Contact your organization's system administrator.
Cause 3: You Are Using outlook.com, outlook.jp, or a Personal Microsoft Account
You cannot use Microsoft Teams Integration with an outlook.com account, outlook.jp account, or personal Microsoft account.
You can connect only a Microsoft 365 account that has a Microsoft Teams license and is on one of the following plans:
Microsoft 365 Business Basic
Microsoft 365 Business Standard
Microsoft 365 Business Premium
If your Microsoft 365 account supports Microsoft Teams Integration, the Teams meeting option appears when you create an event in Outlook.
Cause 4: You Are Using an On-Premises Microsoft Account
You cannot use Microsoft Teams Integration with an on-premises Microsoft account.
