The following is a description of how to deal with the following error and its cause.

  • If you receive an error message when creating/editing a schedule adjustment calendar

  • If you edit the linked spreadsheet and it is no longer linked (or the linkage format is not as intended)

  • If the schedule adjustment calendar is suddenly not linked even though you have not changed its settings or the contents of the spreadsheet

How to deal with it

If you receive an error message when creating/editing a schedule adjustment calendar

In the Google Sheets integration settings screen of each schedule adjustment calendar, an error message "The integration with Google Sheets failed. Please try to re-integrate with Google Sheets from Google Sheets integration in your account settings." may appear.

In this case, you will need to re-integrate your Google Sheets account with the TimeRex account you selected as the member to be integrated.

Re-integration is done from the Google Sheets integration page in the Account Settings.

After the reintegration is complete on the account side, open the Create/Edit screen of each schedule adjustment calendar again and check to see if the Google Sheets integration can be set up.

For detailed causes, please see "Causes when TimeRex cannot access Google Sheets" below.

If you edit the linked spreadsheet and it is no longer linked (or the linkage format is not as intended)

The data is linked to the "Events" sheet in the spreadsheet, so if the sheet name is changed, the linkage will fail.

If you change the sheet name back to "Events", the linkage will resume with the data from the next booking onward.

If the data is no longer linked due to different reasons, or if the format of the data linkage is unintended, the schedule adjustment calendar must be re-configured.

Open the edit screen of the schedule adjustment calendar and delete the existing Google Sheets integration settings from the trash button.

Deleting the Google Sheets integration setting does not delete the spreadsheet.

When the Google Sheets integration is set up again, a new spreadsheet will be created.

Be sure to click the "Update Calendar" button to complete your edits.

If the schedule adjustment calendar is suddenly not linked even though you have not changed its settings or the contents of the spreadsheet

It is possible that TimeRex has lost access to Google Sheets.
