Set Up Conversion Tags for Google Ads and Facebook Ads

By configuring a Google Ads or Facebook Ads (Meta Ads) conversion tag on a Calendar, you can measure ad conversions for that Calendar.

Conversion tag setup is available on the Premium plan.

This article explains how to configure tags when you use a Calendar URL directly, such as:

https://timerex.net/s/*****

If a scheduling page is embedded on a website, configure measurement on the parent page where it is embedded. See Scheduling Widget Reference in the TimeRex Developer Portal.

Integration Overview

Open the create or edit page for a Calendar. In Advanced settings, open the Service integration section, select Add service integration, then select Google Ads or Facebook Ads.

  • For Google Ads, you need a Conversion ID and Conversion Label.

  • For Facebook Ads, you need a Meta Pixel ID and Event Code (event name).

Set Up Google Ads

Find the Conversion ID and Conversion Label

You can find both values in Google Ads.

  1. In Google Ads, select Goals from the left menu, then select Summary under Conversions.

  2. Select the conversion action you want to use.

  3. Select Set up tag, then select Install the tag yourself.

  4. In the event snippet, find the Conversion ID and Conversion Label.

  5. In TimeRex, open the create or edit page for the Calendar. In Advanced settings, open Service integration, select Add service integration, then select Google Ads.

  6. Enter the Conversion ID and Conversion Label.

Note: Values such as 1111111111111 and Abcdefghijklmop123456789 are examples.

Google Ads conversion tag setup is now complete.

Set Up Facebook Ads

Find the Meta Pixel ID

You can find the Meta Pixel ID in Meta Events Manager.

  1. In Meta Events Manager, select Data sources from the left menu.

  2. Select the data source associated with the pixel you created and want to use for the Calendar.

  3. Copy the displayed Meta Pixel ID.

Note: Any IDs shown in examples are sample values.

Find the Event Code

You can also find the event information in Meta Events Manager.

  1. Review the event configured when the data source was created. For example, the standard event “Add to Cart” uses the event code AddToCart.

  2. If you use a standard event, find its event name in Meta Pixel Standard Events Reference. The event name is the Event Code. If you use a custom event, use the event code you configured.

  3. In TimeRex, open the create or edit page for the Calendar. In Advanced settings, open Service integration, select Add service integration, then select Facebook Ads.

  4. Enter the Meta Pixel ID and Event Code (event name).

Facebook Ads conversion tag setup is now complete.

FAQ

The Settings Are Not Shown Under Service integration

The settings are not in Team Settings.

Open the create or edit page for the Calendar, expand Advanced settings, then open the Service integration section.

Where Do I Create the Facebook Ads Event?

You do not need to create a separate event in Facebook Ads.

When you specify the Meta Pixel ID and event name on the Calendar in TimeRex, the event code is added to the scheduling page.

If you enter the name of a standard event, it is measured as a standard event. If you enter a custom event name, it is measured as a custom event.

Do not create another event in Facebook Ads. Configure the Meta Pixel ID and event name only in TimeRex.

Conversions Are Not Being Measured

Review the steps in this article and confirm that the settings on the Calendar are complete.

If the scheduling page is embedded on a website, the setup method is different. Configure measurement on the parent page where the scheduling page is embedded. See Scheduling Widget Reference in the TimeRex Developer Portal.

Opening the URL of the webpage used in the ad directly does not count as a visit from the ad and is not measured as an ad conversion.
