Change a Team ID or Personal ID

Learn how to change a Team ID or Personal ID and how the change affects calendar URLs.

Follow the steps below to change a Team ID or Personal ID.

Change a Team ID

Only the team owner can change the Team ID.

A Team ID must be unique. You cannot use a value that is already used by another team.

Notes About Changing a Team ID

  • The Team ID is part of the URL for calendars in the team space.

    Example: https://timerex.net/s/○○○○/abcdef

    The Team ID is used in the ○○○○ portion. The abcdef portion is generated randomly for each calendar.

  • Only the Team ID portion of a calendar URL can be changed. No other portion can be changed.

  • Changing the Team ID changes the URLs of all calendars created in the team space. The previous calendar URLs will no longer work.

Steps to Change a Team ID

  1. Log in to TimeRex and open the Dashboard.

  2. Select the team name shown in the top left, then select the team whose Team ID you want to change.

  3. Click Team Settings.

  4. Click Change Team ID.

  5. Enter the ID you want in New Team ID, then click Change Team ID.

Change a Personal ID

Note: Personal Space is available only to users who registered on or before July 12, 2022.

Notes About Changing a Personal ID

  • The Personal ID is part of the URL for calendars in Personal Space.

    Example: https://timerex.net/s/○○○○/abcdef

    The Personal ID is used in the ○○○○ portion. The abcdef portion is generated randomly for each calendar.

  • Only the Personal ID portion of a calendar URL can be changed. No other portion can be changed.

  • Changing the Personal ID changes the URLs of all calendars created in Personal Space. The previous calendar URLs will no longer work.

Steps to Change a Personal ID

  1. Log in to TimeRex and open the Dashboard.

  2. Select Personal Settings from the menu.

  3. Click Change Personal ID.

  4. Enter the ID you want in New Personal ID, then click Change Personal ID.

FAQ

My Account ID Appears in a Calendar URL

TimeRex calendar URLs use the following format:

https://timerex.net/s/<Team ID>/<Calendar ID>/

If your Account ID appears in a calendar URL, it is likely being used as the Team ID.

Ask the team owner to change the Team ID using the steps above.

After the Team ID is changed, your Account ID will no longer appear in calendar URLs, including URLs for existing calendars.
