Join the Team | TimeRex Help Center

To join a team, you must be invited by a user who is already a member of that team.

The way you join depends on the team’s plan.

Free plan team: Join using an invitation link shared by a team member.
Basic or Premium plan team: Join using an invitation email sent by TimeRex.

Join a Free Plan Team

To join a Free plan team, ask a team member to share an invitation link with you.

How to Join

Open the invitation link shared with you.
If you already have a TimeRex account, log in.
If you do not have a TimeRex account, click Sign up at the bottom of the login screen and create an account.
Confirm that the message Initial setup and joining the team are complete! appears.
Click Go to Dashboard.
Confirm that the team you joined appears on the Dashboard.

Notes

An invitation link expires 48 hours after it is issued.
- If the link has expired, ask a team member to issue and share a new invitation link.
A Free plan team can have up to 100 members.
If the team already has 100 or more members, the following error appears and you cannot join the team: 403 Forbidden: You have exceeded the invitation limit.

Join a Basic or Premium Plan Team

When you are invited to a Basic or Premium plan team, TimeRex sends you an invitation email with the subject You have been invited to the team “XXXXX Team”.

How to Join

Click Join Team in the invitation email.
If you already have a TimeRex account, log in.
If you do not have a TimeRex account, click Sign up at the bottom of the login screen and create an account.
Confirm that the message Initial setup and joining the team are complete! appears.
Click Go to Dashboard.
Confirm that the team you joined appears on the Dashboard.

Notes

If a team upgrades from the Free plan to the Basic or Premium plan, or if a downgrade to the Free plan takes effect, you must be invited again.
You cannot join using an invitation link or the Join Team button in an invitation email sent before the plan change.

FAQ

Can I join a team using an invitation I received before the plan changed?

No.

You cannot use an invitation link or the Join Team button in an invitation email sent before the plan change. Ask a team member to invite you again using the method for the team’s current plan.

I joined a team, but it does not appear on the Dashboard

You may not have switched to the team you joined.

Switch teams from the Dashboard and check again.

I cannot join a team using a Free plan invitation link

Ask the person who invited you to issue a new invitation link, then try again.

Log out of TimeRex.
Ask the person who invited you to reload the page and issue a new invitation link.
Ask them to send the new link to you by email or chat.
Open the new invitation link.
If you already have a TimeRex account, log in. If you do not have an account, click Sign up at the bottom of the login screen and create one.
Confirm that the message Initial setup and joining the team are complete! appears.

I cannot open a Free plan invitation link

Try the following methods in order.

Click the invitation link.
Copy the entire invitation link, paste it into your browser’s address bar, and open it.
Use Copy link address, paste the link into your browser’s address bar, and open it.

Email or chat tools may truncate or abbreviate the end or middle of a URL. Make sure you copy the entire link.

An invitation link expires 48 hours after it is issued.

I cannot join a Basic or Premium plan team from the invitation email

Ask the person who invited you to delete the existing invitation and invite you again.

Log out of TimeRex.
Ask the person who invited you to open Members from Team Settings.
On Invited, ask them to delete your invitation.
Ask them to enter your Email and invite you again.
Click Join Team in the latest invitation email.
If you already have a TimeRex account, log in.
If you do not have a TimeRex account, click Sign up at the bottom of the login screen and create one.
Confirm that the message Initial setup and joining the team are complete! appears.

I cannot join the team even after opening the latest invitation email

If your email app groups messages into a thread, it may display an older invitation email.

Check the date and time the email was received, then click Join Team in the latest invitation email.
